Daily Maintenance Points

1. Clean the unit surface
After each shift, promptly clean the dust and residue from the Parallel Twin Screw Barrel's outer casing, hopper, and conveyor inlet to prevent buildup and poor heat dissipation.

2. Prevent metal debris from entering
Install a magnetic adsorption device or use a metal screen at the feeding port to ensure the raw material is free of hard particles such as iron filings and screws, which could scratch the screw and barrel.

3. Lubrication system check

Check if the gearbox oil level is within the specified range. If the oil level is insufficient, add the specified lubricating oil according to the instruction manual; if the oil level is excessive, drain the excess oil.

Observe the oil for discoloration, unusual odor, or emulsification; replace the lubricating oil if necessary.

Replace leaking gaskets promptly to ensure a tight oil circuit.

4. Environment and ventilation
Keep the working environment around the equipment clean, preventing garbage and debris from clogging the filter plates; ensure unobstructed cooling airflow to prevent localized overheating that could affect the plasticizing effect.

Wear Parts Inspection and Replacement Procedure

1. Regular Visual Inspection

Observe the screw and inner wall of the cylinder for scratches, grooves, or obvious wear.

Inspect the wear of key components such as the screw sleeve, shear block, and threaded block.

For stainless steel or alloy cylinders, check for corrosion or surface peeling.

2. Measuring Key Dimensions
Use calipers or an inside gauge to measure the screw outer diameter, cylinder inner diameter, and screw sleeve clearance. If the deviation exceeds the allowable deviation specified in the technical specifications, replacement is required.

3. Replacing Wear Parts

Following the manufacturer's disassembly and assembly manual, first stop the machine and empty the residual material from the cylinder to ensure safety.

Use specialized tools to remove worn screw sleeves, shear blocks, or cylinder bushings to prevent secondary damage.

When installing new parts, strictly adhere to the fit tolerances and use the manufacturer-recommended gaskets and fasteners.

After replacement, conduct a no-load test run to check for smooth operation and normal temperature distribution.

4. Spare Parts Management
It is recommended to keep commonly used wear parts (sleeve inserts, shear blocks, sealing washers, etc.) readily available in the workshop and maintain a spare parts list to ensure that downtime is not prolonged due to missing parts during replacements.

Maintenance Records and Safety Precautions

1. Maintenance Log
After each cleaning, inspection, lubrication, or parts replacement, record the operator, time, material type used, and part number replaced to create a complete equipment maintenance file.

2. Safety Precautions

Before any disassembly or assembly work, the power must be disconnected and the equipment locked to prevent accidental start-up.

Wear protective gloves and safety glasses during operation to avoid injury from oil or metal shavings.

3. Regular Training
Provide regular technical training to maintenance personnel to familiarize them with the structural characteristics and maintenance points of the Parallel Twin Screw Barrel, improving on-site maintenance efficiency and quality.
